Serve at the Lord’s Altar

The celebration of the Mass is the heart of parish life. Each week, parishioners of all ages help create a welcoming, prayerful, and reverent worship experience through a variety of liturgical ministries.

Whether you enjoy greeting others, proclaiming Scripture, serving at the altar, assisting with Holy Communion, or helping behind the scenes, there is a place for you to share your gifts.

Liturgical ministry is more than volunteering. It is a way of growing in faith while helping others encounter Christ through the Church’s worship.

Ministry Opportunities

Hospitality Ministers (Ushers & Greeters)

Hospitality ministers are often the first face of the parish that people encounter. They welcome parishioners and visitors, assist with seating, take up the collection, help with special needs, and create an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality.

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Through prayerful preparation and reverent proclamation, lectors help bring Scripture to life for the assembly.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist in the distribution of the Eucharist during Mass and may also bring Holy Communion to those who are unable to attend due to illness or age.

Altar Servers

Altar servers assist the priest and deacon during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. This ministry is open to young people and adults who desire a deeper participation in the liturgy.

Sacristans

Sacristans prepare the church and liturgical items before Mass and help ensure that everything is ready for worship. This important ministry supports the smooth and reverent celebration of the liturgy.

Music Ministry

Singers, instrumentalists, cantors, and choir members help lead the assembly in prayer through music. Visit our Music Ministry page to learn more.
