Growing in Faith Never Ends

Faith formation is a lifelong journey. At St. Joan of Arc Parish, we believe that discipleship does not end with Confirmation or graduation from a religious education program. As adults, we are continually called to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ, deepen our understanding of the Catholic faith, and discover new ways to live the Gospel in our daily lives.

Throughout the year, the parish offers a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth, prayer, study, fellowship, and service. Whether you are looking for a Bible study, a small faith-sharing group, a speaker series, a retreat experience, or a fellowship gathering, there is a place for you. Adult formation has long been a priority at both parish communities and remains an important part of the life of St. Joan of Arc Parish.

Bible Studies

Scripture is at the heart of the Christian life. Throughout the year, parishioners are invited to participate in Bible studies that explore God’s Word and help connect Scripture to everyday life. Studies vary in topic, format, and length, making it easy to find an opportunity that fits your schedule and interests.

Small Faith-Sharing Groups

Small groups provide opportunities to build friendships, pray together, discuss faith, and support one another in Christian discipleship. These groups gather regularly to reflect on Scripture, study Church teachings, and encourage one another in living the Catholic faith.

Adult Faith Formation Programs

The parish regularly offers studies, classes, book discussions, guest speakers, and special presentations on topics related to Scripture, theology, prayer, Catholic living, and current issues facing the Church. These opportunities are designed to help adults continue learning and growing in faith throughout every stage of life.

Called & Gifted

God has given every Christian unique spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church and the service of others. Called & Gifted helps participants discern their charisms and discover how God may be inviting them to use those gifts in their family, workplace, parish, and community.

The next Called and Gifted program will be held on the Vianney Campus, Monday evenings from 6:30pm-9pm. The first session will be on Monday, September 14, 2026 and the last session on December 7, 2026. The cost is $50 and covers the class materials and a personal evaluation and interview to help you discern your gifts.

For more information, reach out to Maureen Conrad by phone at (563) 940-5921 or by email at iowaconrads@yahoo.com. To register for the upcoming session, click the button below.

Fellowship Opportunities

Faith grows best in community. Throughout the year, adults are invited to participate in fellowship events, social gatherings, discussion groups, and special programs that foster friendships and strengthen our parish family.

Evergreen

The Evergreen Group provides opportunities for fellowship, learning, and community among adults 55 years and older in the parish. These enjoyable social gatherings are a great way to stay connected with each other informally with food and entertainment. We have dinner together and follow with an enlightening speaker.
