One Parish. Two Churches. One School. One Family.
St. Joan of Arc Parish was established on July 1, 2026, through the union of two vibrant Catholic communities: Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and St. John Vianney Parish in Bettendorf, Iowa.
For generations, both parishes faithfully served the people of Bettendorf, helping countless individuals and families encounter Jesus Christ through worship, education, service, and community life. As the city continued to grow and the needs of the Church evolved, parish leaders and parishioners began exploring new ways to strengthen Catholic ministry for future generations.
Following a period of study, consultation, listening sessions, focus groups, parish-wide surveys, and discernment, Bishop Dennis Walsh approved the formation of a new parish community. On July 1, 2026, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and St. John Vianney Parish officially became St. Joan of Arc Parish.
The creation of St. Joan of Arc Parish was not the closing of two parishes, but the beginning of something new. By bringing together the strengths, traditions, and people of both communities, the parish is positioned to serve future generations with renewed energy, stronger ministries, and a shared commitment to the mission of Jesus Christ.
As one parish family, we honor the rich history of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. John Vianney while embracing the future God is calling us to build together.
Our Three Campuses
Today, St. Joan of Arc Parish is one parish community with three campuses that work together to support worship, faith formation, education, and ministry.
Lourdes Campus
Located on Mississippi Boulevard in Bettendorf, the Lourdes Campus serves as one of the parish’s worship and ministry centers. The campus includes Our Lady of Lourdes Church and continues a rich tradition of prayer, sacraments, faith formation, and community life.
Vianney Campus
Located on 53rd Avenue in Bettendorf, the Vianney Campus serves as the parish’s second worship and ministry center. The campus includes St. John Vianney Church and remains a vibrant home for liturgy, parish ministries, faith formation, and fellowship.
St. Joan of Arc Catholic School
Opened in 2025, St. Joan of Arc Catholic School represents a bold investment in the future of Catholic education in Bettendorf. The school was created through the coming together of the communities that had long supported Catholic education at both parishes.
Today, the school serves students and families from throughout the region, forming young disciples through academic excellence, faith formation, and service.
Our Patroness

St. Joan of Arc, a young woman of extraordinary faith and courage, answered God’s call and remained faithful even in the face of great uncertainty and challenge. Her willingness to trust God’s plan and lead others with conviction serves as an inspiration for our parish community.
As we continue to grow together as one parish family, we seek to follow her example by listening for God’s voice, responding with courage, and placing our trust in Christ.
